FPT IS develops Cloud Computing

FPT IS will cooperate with Trend Micro and Microsoft following FPT’s agreements with these companies. It will coordinate with other members of FPT, such as FPT Telecom, FPT Software, and the FPT Information Technology department, to test cloud computing solutions and IaaS and SaaS services. FPT IS will also research and develop business services in this sector.

Currently, most Microsoft products and services are related to cloud computing; Trend Micro is the leading information security company in the world and has joined in cloud computing area very early. In May 2010, FPT signed cooperation agreements with both companies to jointly develop, exploit, and provide services and technologies to promote the development of cloud computing in Vietnam. Accordingly, FPT IS has set up a task force to focus on this undertaking.
