The first Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project in Myanmar will be deployed by FPT IS in January this year.
Within seven months, FPT IS will deploy modules including production management, purchasing, sales, inventory control, accounting and smart reporting system for UPG via an ERP software named SAP A1. Earlier, ISO 2010 and some support softwares for these professional qualifications UPG applied and used did not generate high effects. The SAP A1 will help UPG’s management system get advanced and consistent with its modern manufacturing infrastructure.

The project will be implemented for UPG’s headquarters, factories and 5 branches in Myanmar and a subsidiary in Singapore.
"With the experiences in consulting and implementing ERP projects and more than100 successfully-deployed projects in Vietnam and the region, FPT IS can ensure that this project will be well implemented. FPT IS will keep connections and win ERP contracts in particular and IT one in general with other organizations and businesses in this market", said FPT IS CEO Pham Minh Tuan.
According to Mr. Tuan, in 2014, FPT IS’ global activity promotion helped gain USD 26.4 million in revenue, with 14 projects in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Singapore, Myanmar etc. The contract with UPG is believed to bring in a bright year for its global operation.
UPG, one of the largest private groups in Myanmar, possesses more than 600 employees and a factory with a modern manufacturing line in an area of 6 hectares. Its business centers and agents covering Myanmar are methodically built.
