FPT IS to manage the TABMIS project for the State Treasury

FPT IS has been announced winner of the bid “Hiring expertise for management, operation, training and knowledge transfer for TABMIS project” by the State Treasury.

According to the contract, FPT IS FSE, a member of FPT IS, will provide management and operation services for the Treasury And Budget Management Information System (TABMIS).

 
FPT IS will provide management and operation services for the TABMIS of the State Treasury.
Particularly, the company will manage the operation of the TABMIS system at the primary center (located at the State Treasury) and the back up center (at the Ministry of Finance), covering all the items of LAN, Unix servers, Windows servers, backup and storage, TABMIS professional functionality, and end-user support.

The training and knowledge transfer are also conducted at the same time for the TABMIS project team from the State Treasury.

The above-mentioned items will be implemented within two year, from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014 by three member companies of FPT IS namely FPT IS FSE, FPT ERP and FPT IS SRV.

Explaining the reason why the State Treasury had chosen FPT IS to be the service provider, Mr. Nguyen Van Ba, Manager of Technology Consultation and Implementation Department of FPT IS FSE said that FPT IS was the company who had previously participated in the deployment of the TABMIS and has earned the trust and confidence from the customer to continue with this project.

TABMIS is the most important among three components of the Public Finance Management Reform, which has been implemented by IBM as the prime contractor and FPT as the sub contractor since 2007.

This project aimed to integrate all separate and scattered financial systems into a centralized information system. As the subcontractor, FPT provides hardware components, system construction, training and system operation for the State Treasury in 63 provinces and cities with more than 600 districts.

The TABMIS project is expected to finish by the end of March 2013.
