FPT IS to upgrade Oracle ERP for Dien Quang Lamp

The announcement ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Vinh, Deputy General Director, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Head of Internal Audit and Vice Project Manager of Dien Quang Lamp, Mr. Bui Trieu Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of FPT IS ERP; Pham Quang Chien and Nguyen Xuan Truong, members of the Project Management Board.

The upgrade of the Oracle ERP worth more than VND 15 billions includes software licenses, hardware infrastructure, consultation and implementation services. Once upgraded, the system would be implemented for four factories, four member companies and two joint venture companies of Dien Quang Lamp. The upgrade expected to be completed between late 2013 and early 2014.

This would facilitate the data collection to promptly provide the company’s leader with accurate information for decision making, saving a great deal of intangible cost and improving business efficiency. “We believe that by upgrading the Oracle ERP to version R12 with the implementation services by FPT IS, our requirements will be met” said Ms. Vinh.

Previously, Dien Quang had considered a number of ERP service provider and finally decided to choose FPT IS ERP. Ms. Vinh explained that this was a huge investment and choosing such high profile company like FPT would minimize risks. “Experts from FPT IS ERP have intensive experiences in dealing with the production and business system of Dien Quang, who can recognize the strengths and weaknesses of the system to ensure effective system delivery” she added.

In 2006, Dien Quang and FPT IS implemented the Oracle ERP version R11 to enhance operational management capability and improve business efficiency. The system had successfully fulfilled its mission in improving the efficiency of the entire manufacturing cycle of Dien Quang. The decision to upgrade the system to version R12 reflected the c strategic vision and met the business expansion requirement of the company.
