FPT IS win first prize in eAsia Award
In the morning of November 29, FPT Information System Company (FPT IS) was granted the first prize in eAsia Award by the Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT) at the Rex Hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, FPT IS’s project to build and implement the electronic clearance system for the Vietnam Customs under the category of e-commerce application for public services is one of six typical projects of Vietnam honored at this conference.
“The award reaffirms position and experience of FPT IS in the field of electronic services in general and e-customs in particular”, Deputy Director of FPT IS FSE Mr. Tran Phong Chau stated.
E-Customs project has been deployed from 2005 to 2013 with the aim of building and upgrading the system, expanding electronic customs processing toward modernizing processing procedure as well as IT infrastructure of the customs sector.
With their deep professional understanding and experience in implementing the IT project for Vietnam Customs during 1995-1996, FPT IS’s engineers designed the optimal electronic clearance system, which is open to be easily upgraded and integrated with other systems.
By August 2013, there have been 135 sub-departments across Vietnam to run the system, 40,190 businesses to use e-customs procedures (accounting for 94.6 %) and 2,488 million returns (reaching 90.6 %).
