FPT IS was notified as winner of the bid “Procurement and development of database software for piloting and updating initial data” by the Department of Overseas Labor of the Ministry of Labor, Invalid and Society (MOLIS).
This is the second package under the project Building database of overseas Vietnamese labor. Previously, in January, FPT IS also won the first package to “Build Web Portal for the Database of Oversea Vietnamese Labor”.
FPT IS ERP, a member of FPT IS will implement this project. Accordingly, the company will develop the database for management of overseas Vietnamese labor including labor management, contract management, enterprise profile, project, training program, investigation and analysis report.
The technology platforms employed in this project include Business Intelligence (BI) for building and exploiting general reports, analysis reports to facilitate decision making process; SAP Business Objects Data Integrator for combining various data flows among systems; and GIS for management of geographical information of objects such as suppliers or employers.
The entire project is implementing from 2012 to 2014. It is expected to expand to 200 enterprises operating in this field in 2014. More money will be poured into the project if the requirement of member companies increases.
Following the success of the project to build the database for management of civil responsibility insurance worth VND 32 billion for Vietnam Insurance Association in 2012, this project has proven the strategy of FPT IS ERP in developing the BI-GIS business and extending the business to a number of new customers in ministries and industries.
It is noteworthy that FPT IS has succeeded in persuading the customer to employ general BI-GIS solution instead of building a simple website portal. Although the project had been built under strict regulation of the Decree No.102, it was approved in a short period of time by the MOLIS.
