FPT organized the first ICT Summit in Myanmar
The first ICT Summit orgnized by FPT would suggest a roadmap for Myanmar to improve its national competitive edges to enter the IT era.

On June 6, FPT Myanmar organized and ICT Summit with the theme “IT- the new development model for Myanmar” within the framework of the World Economic Forum on East Asia 2013 hosted by this country from 5 to 7, June.
In recent years, Myanmar has become attractive destination of global investors thank to its ongoing reforms and available economic resources. Some side activities include seminars relating to energy and financial matters among heads of state.
The Summit by FPT provided attandees with a clear roadmap for Myanmar to improve its national competitive edges and enter the IT era, creating a new development model, which is steady and stable, knowledge-based and innovative with the world’s best practices.
Having more than twenty five year experience with more than 1.3 billion USD of revenue in 2012, creating about 15,000 jobs, the group wished to share its experiences for the development of Myanmar.
FPT open its representative office in Myanmar in Februay, 2013, in which the group focuses on introducing Information Technology to the fields of banking, telecommunications, aviation, e-government, ERP for small businesses, e-hospital, intelligent transportation, and e-commerce.
FPT Chairman and CEO Truong Gia Binh attended the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Myanmar as a WEF member. He also participated in discussing on Myanmar’s development schemes.
FPT Chief Strategy Officer Nguyen Huu Thai Hoa also participated the discussion session of the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) Group for Myanmar.
FPT delegation led by FPT Chief Representative in Myanmar, Hoang Minh Chau and Executive Vice President Nguyen Tuan Hung of FPT Information System (FPT IS) had met and worked with potential customers at the WEF event.
The World Economic Forum on East Asia 2013 started on June 5 in the capital city Naypyidaw of Myanmar. It was attended by 900 reprepresentatives from 55 countries including Philippine President Benigno Aquino III, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
The forum also attracted the attendace of world’s leading groups such as AirAsia, Chevron, Mitsubishi, and Visa along with many entrepreneurs seeking for investment opportunities.
