FPT promotes “E – Youth” with Hochiminh Central Communist Youth Union

This event has paved the way for the promotion of IT-related activities in the Union, especially in helping local youth to access and master IT, utilizing the internet and computers for personal, career, and knowledge gains.

The agreement will not only benefit Vietnam’s youth, but also promote the formation of a young E-citizen Community. The agreement includes 8 actions:

1. Organize E-Youth Golden Cup;
2. Building a global Connected Vietnamese Young Talents E-Network;
3. Develop Online Training Program Portal for young Vietnamese;
4. Develop Job Opportunities Portal for young Vietnamese;
5. Promote basic computing and internet access training for youths;
6. Hold Music Festivals for Vietnamese students;
7. Promote IT applications in the Union’s work and activities;
8. IT capacity building for the Youth Union’s offices;

The second and the sixth goals will be deployed this April, popularizing IT application while connecting millions of young people everywhere through the internet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Doctor Truong Gia Binh , FPT Corporation’s Chairman, who spent many years working with the Youth Union and formerly chaired the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization from 1998-2002, said “ Supporting young talents is one of FPT Corporation’s human development strategies and the cooperation agreement is also in the interest of its E-Citizen strategy. Over the past few years, FPT has made tremendous leaps along with the Youth Union, and will continue to provide support for the Youth Union for the successful implementation of this meaningful agreement”.

E-citizens are new age individuals, organizations that use mobile phones, laptops, ADSL, WiFi and Wimax… for convenient customized connections and automated transactions online.
