FPT ranked among Vietnam’s 50 best-performing companies for the 6th consecutive

The Nhip Cau Dau Tu (Investment Bridge) magazine honoured Vietnam’s 50 best-performing companies in Viet Nam in 2016 (Top 50 2016) in HCM City on June 9. FPT has been ranked among the list for the 6^th consecutive year.

The corporation has become the only technology company makes it to the list of Vietnam’s 50 best-performing companies.

By the end of 2016, FPT earned VND 40,545 billion in revenue, an increase of 1.4% yoy, VND 3,014 billion in profit before tax and VND VND 2,576 billion in profit after tax, increased by 6% yoy.

“Vietnam’s 50 best-performing companies” (TOP 50) is an annual ranking developed by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in tandem with Thien Viet Securities. The ranking process took counsel from many economists and business experts who were Harvard Business School graduates, and we also referred to many prestigious rankings from renowned publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune, and Forbes.

This year, SR-CAGR and ROE are weighted at 70%, while stock return is weighted at 30%.

According to the latest report on first-quarter revenue in 2017, FPT has recorded VND 9,768 billion in revenue, up by 14% over the same period of the previous year, reaching 106% 4-month plan.  Profit before tax was VND 643 billion, increased by 14% over the same period of 2016. Profit after tax reached VND 540 billion, an increase of 21% over the same period of the year before.
