FPT ranks the third among largest private companies in Vietnam
FPT was ranked the third among 500 largest private companies in Vietnam in 2012.

As disclosed by VNR500 in the morning of December 11, FPT stands the 29th in the Top 500 largest companies in Vietnam, jumping two steps higher than the previous year.
Ten largest enterprises of VNR500 this year include PetroVietnam (PVN), Petrolimex, Vietnam National Post and Telecommunication Corporation (VNPT); Samsung Electronic Viet Nam Co. Ltd., Vietsopetro Joint Venture; Viettel Telecoms, Saigon Jewelry Corporation (SJC), Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Corporation(Vinacomin) and Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) .
Regarding private sector, this year FPT ranks the third, one step lower than 2011. The first and the second position belong to Doji Jewelry Corporation and Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
The rest seven companies in the Top Ten private firm list include: Vinamilk, Techcombank, Sacombank, Eximbank), Phu Nhuan Jewelry (PNJ) and Maritime Bank (MSB).
The VNR500 is developed on the Vietnam Report Business Database and the latest surveys on enterprises nationwide. This is the sixth consecutive year the VNR500 has been declared to recognize and honour the achievement of the Vietnamese enterprise community.
To be named the largest enterprise in the VNR500, the company’s revenue should reach at least 1,400 billion dongs. Private company should have the revenue of at least 660 billion dongs and the shares owned by private stakeholders should account for at least 51%.
The declaration ceremony of 2012 VNR500 is organized on January 18, 2013 at the National Conference Center in Hanoi to recognize and honour the enterprises’ contribution to the development of Vietnamese economy during the past years.
