FPT received Vietnam Gold Star award

Top 10 Vietnam Gold Star Awards this year were presented to leading entrepreneurs including FPT, Truong Hai Auto (Thaco), Viet Tien Garment, Vietinbank, Eurowindows, Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel, Trung Nguyen Coffee, Phu My Fertilizer, and Dau Tieng Rubber (DRC).
Unhiding the happiness, Ha shared that she was so proud that FPT had received such notable award. “The selection procedure was serious and all the honoured entrepreneurs deserve with this title. The award presentation was organized solemnly”, she added.
The Top 10 Vietnam Gold Stars were selected based on strict criteria including: International economic integration basing on the capability to apply science and technology, actively integrate into the world economy through exporting and foreign investment activities; Application of knowledge economy such as investment in high quality human resources and application of information technology in production and management; Social responsibilities such as attention to the benefit of employees and social environment.
Preferred indices are Return On Equity (ROE), total revenue, total number of employees, taxes and duties paid, total assets and social responsibility.
They had to go through four stages, each of which were voted by the judge panel. The stages include: voting 15 referred product categories, sorting two most outstanding brands from each product category, voting for the best brand of each category and voting for ten most outstanding brands out of 15 nominated ones.
Vietnam Gold Star Award has been annually co-hosted by Vietnam Youth Union and Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee since 2003 to honour outstanding Vietnamese brands in the country’s international economic integration.
It has been one of Vietnam’s most prestigious and large-scale trademark promotion programmes in answer to the Vietnamese Politburo’s initiative “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods” and the Resolution No. 11 by the government to curb inflation, stabilize the macro-economy and ensure social welfare.
