Director of Institute of International Education under FPT University Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam shared experiences “engraved in heart” and three lessons of the pioneer which helped FPT succeed in Japanese market today.

Late 2000, FPT was trying cautiously to seek opportunities in the Japanese market. At that time, none of FPT staffs knew Japanese. Mr. Truong Gia Binh repeated an English speech at 20 points for 4 days. Fortunately, the Director of NTT IT Company, good at English as ever studying in the U.S., was convinced by Mr. Binh’s determination and gave FPT an offer. Thus, Mr. Nam stressed the first lesson "The Japanese will pick you if you are determined enough”.
"The Japanese always give great requirements for completeness of products. We must ensure no errors left though time for testing can be extended. The first order needs to be well done to build reputation for more partners. This is the second lesson of FPT ".
"The Japanese are very picky and pay attention to every little detail. Even Vietnamese businesses are not fluent in Japanese, they must know the Japanese way of thinking if desiring to work with them”, Mr. Nam shared the third lesson.
The lessons of FPT received consensus of many businesses succeeding in exporting software outsourcing to the Japanese market as Luvina, Vinicorp and RikkeiSoft.
