FPT Software co-host STA’s annual meeting
The annual meeting of Smart TV Alliance (STA) is hosted by FPT Software at F-Ville, Hoa Lac High Tech Park, Hanoi.

The program lasts for 4 days from 17 to 20 February. Accordingly, more than 30 senior leaders of the leading electronics firms such as Toshiba, LG, Philip, and Panasonic... will focus on discussing strategy and development directions of the alliance.
It is expected that the representatives will discuss platform, roadmap, development orientation of software development kit (SDK) and app store for the alliance.
For FPT, the program will be attended by Chairman Truong Gia Binh, Chief Technology Officer Nguyen Lam Phuong, CEO of FPT Software Nguyen Thanh Lam and marketing & technology experts of FPT Software.
In the framework of the conference, FPT Software will present an initiative to hold Smart TV App Writing Competition in Vietnam to search for young talents and innovative applications "made by Vietnam" for smart TV brands of STA. If the initiative is adopted, it will open many opportunities for Vietnamese engineers, programmers who want to approach smart TV applications development.
According to Nguyen Thanh Lam, FPT Software officially became a member of STA in February 2013. This is the first time the company is involved in discussions on all issues and the most important decisions of the alliance from technology to strategy, development orientations.
One of the reasons for STA to hold this conference in Vietnam is that FPT Software was selected as STA’s partner to build, deploy and run the application store on Cloud Computing for smart TV. In addition, Vietnam is thought to be a potential market of these products.
Earlier, at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), STA chaired the discussion of “Smart TV Alliance 2014: Expanding the Smart TV Ecosystem”. FPT Software also introduced a project to build, deploy and operate smart TV app store on cloud technology platform.
