FPT Software Da Nang granted reward for outstanding achievement

In the afternoon of October 13, Da Nang People's Committee in collaboration with VCCI Da Nang celebrated the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day. The event were attended by Secretary of the Municipal Communist Party Committee and Chairman of Da Nang's People's Council Tran Tho; Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Vo Cong Tri; Da Nang City's Chairman Van Huu Chien; Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh and leaders of departments and more than 400 entrepreneurs.
Da Nang City’s Chairman Van Huu Chien stated that in the past 10 years, the private sector in the city increased in both quantity and total capital. Currently, there were 15,000 enterprises operating in Da Nang with a total capital of VND 71,000 billion.
In 2013, the businesses paid about VND 7,120 billion in taxes, 4 times higher compared to the one in 2004. According to the Da Nang City’s Chairman, the government was committed to co-operating with enterprises to overcome difficulties in production and business in order to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness etc.
Acknowledging the contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in Da Nang, Mr. Van Huu Chien granted certificates of merit to 9 outstanding businesses in many fields in 2013 and 22 entrepreneurs with many contributions to the development of the business community. Accordingly, FPT Software was named "the unit gaining outstanding achievements in the field of IT in 2013". Director of FPT Software Da Nang Nguyen Tuan Phuong received this award.
