FPT Software established the first BPO joint venture in Southeast Asia
The first BPO Joint Venture in Southeast Asia, F-AGREX, was officially established by and between AGREX, a Tokyo-based member of IT Holdings (ITHD) of Japan and FPT Software.

CEO of IT Holdings, Okamoto Susumu and Chairman and CEO FPT Corporation, Truong Gia Binh signed the MOU.
The Joint Venture was established to implement global business process outsourcing services (Global BPO).F-AGREX will benefit from AGREX’s extensive experience in nearly 50 years implementing BPO services and FPT Software in managing large software projects and working with Japanese partners for the past fifteen years to deliver high quality BPO services at competitive cost in Japanese market. In the future, F-AGREX will consider the possibility to expand business in potential markets such as Vietnam and others countries in the Southeast Asia.
The establishment of the joint venture is suitable not only with the market trend but also with the development strategies of both AGREX and FPT Software.
While AGREX is seeking for growth by increasing offshore investment, focusing on the Asia region and offering high quality BPO service to global market, FPT Software considers BPO the new strategic business direction since later half of 2012. FPT Software expects a breakthrough with BPO service offerings. The first BPO center of FPT Software was established in November 2012 in FPT Da Nang.
Chairman of FPT Software, Hoang Nam Tien, emphasized: “I see this is a big opportunity for the immature BPO industry of Vietnam. The BPO’s requirement for large number of human resources can be addressed in the Vietnamese labour market once it receives appropriate attention from Vietnamese enterprises. The cooperation between FPT and the leading Japanese BPO service provider who has nearly 50 years of experience will explore a new way for the BPO industry of Vietnam, which can, at first, provide services for Japanese market and for global ones later on”.
Previously on November 27, 2012, FPT and FPT Software signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IT Holding / AGREX to launch the “Global BPO” scheme to offer Japanese quality BPO services at Vietnamese price to the world.
