FPT Software opens business branch in Germany

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh- Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Truong Xuan Thanh- General Consulate of Vietnam in Germany, representative of German Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam- General Director of FPT Software, Mr. Uwe Schlager- Managing Director of FPT Software Branch in Germany and prepresentatives from organizations and enterprises operating in the German territory and FPT’s clients.

According to FPT Software’s General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam, the establishment of the branch is one of the strategies set by FPT’s leadership to attain high growth rate through development of new services and markets in which the German market is one of the most potential ones for FPT Software to explore. The company is determined to develop its business in this promising market and to turn it into one part of a triangle beside Japan and the USA in terms of growth and turnover.

The branch’s Managing Director, Mr. Uwe Schlager, has more than twenty year experience working deeply in IT industry with a thorough understanding of the Asia-Pacific region as well as the German market. He said: “The official presence of FPT Software Europe in Germany plays significant role not only in helping FPT Software get closer to local customers but also in creating business and technology partnership and connecting both continients in terms of geography and language”.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh also said: “I strongly believe that, with the No. 1 position in Vietnam’s software industry, FPT will be able to provide the best quality software and services to clients in Europe in general and in Germany in particular. I wish FPT Europe great success".

The German branch is expected to help FPT Software diversify its market and achieve new growth rate in the coming time. This event confirms FPT’s strategy to expand to global market and help to bring Vietnamese information technology to the international playground.
