FPT Software releases Citus™ COBOL Suite

On July 13th, FPT Software announced the official release of Citus™ COBOL Suite, which helps transforming quickly and easily legacy code between COBOL and Java or Open Platform in just a few mouse clicks.

Currently, with the rapid development of Business Intelligence and Analytics, enterprises can unlock huge valuable data through migration into Open Platform.

The product showed that FPT Software caught up with the world’s trend in migration from mainframe to open platform,

especially helping meet the rising needs of many businesses in the Japanese market.

Citus™ COBOL Suite is a set of conversion tools including programming languages ​​2 main tools: Citus simbol (developed by FPT Software Technology Committee) and Citus Magic Wand (developed by FSU17).

The tool suite is a set of programming language conversion tools includes two engines, namely Citus™ Simbol and Citus™ MagicWand. Citus™ Simbol is a tool that helps transforming COBOL to JAVA as well as giving a good insight of the original COBOL source code. Citus™ MagicWand helps users apply PL/I conversion to NetCOBOL.
