FPT Software sponsored Japan ICT Day
Japan ICT Day, on August 24th to 25th at the Horizon Hotel, Cat Linh, Hanoi is an extra-activity beside the 2009 World Information Technology Forum (WITFOR for short). FPT Software was the co-sponsor of the event with a speech at the conference “Vietnam- Japan enterprise cooperation”.

Making a speech with FPT Software’s representative was Mr. Nakajima Dai – representative of the Daiwa Institute of Research and Business Innovation - DIRBI, explaining the relationship and experiences in cooperation and project implementation between the two sides.
WITFOR 2009 was attracting a huge amount of attention from the domestic and foreign IT community. WITFOR 2009 was held in the Hanoi National Conference Center from 26th to 28th August 2009.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dzung. He made a welcome speech as the Honor President of the Forum.
With the theme "Information Technology for Sustainable Development”, WITFOR 2009 is the opportunity for 1,500 delegates from a variety of sectors and industries to discuss and share their experiences to find the most optimal solution to the application of information technology in socioeconomic life.
Other activities of Japan ICT Day included: ICT Exhibition and 2009 Software, IT and International Workforce Exhibition in Hanoi National Conference Center.
In addition, FPT Software, FPT Information System (FPT-IS) and FPT University, as member of FPT Corporation, attended the ICT Exhibition organized by FPT in this Forum.
WITFOR 2009 is organized under the initiative of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) with an aim to enhance the cooperation and to assist developing countries to apply IT in socioeconomic fields and realize the millennium target of the UN and practice the “Action Plan” of the World Summit Meeting on Information Society (WSIS).
