FPT Software’s staff have donated 190 million VNDs to activities of Operation Smile. This is a voluntary multinational programme organized in many places in Vietnam to provide free surgeries to children with split lips and palates.

As anticipated, that amount of money will be used to sponsor the programme implemented at Vietnam-Cuba Hospital in 2 phases: July 13 – July 17, 2009, and August 10 – August 14, 2009, serving patients from Bac Giang, Ha Nam, Yen Bai and Quang Ninh provinces. As scheduled, during one phase, there will be about 100 patients examined and 80 patients operated.
Operation Smile will continue to be carried out in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
FPT Software’s staff will act as volunteers to support the coordination and organization of programmes, such as writing medical records; coordinating patients during the examining day to select suitable patients; help patients relax and become calm before entering the operating room; talk to patients’ parents and comfort them; …
