FPT sponsors “Hochiminh City’s 2008 ICT Press Open Competition”
On August 19th, 2008, at the Meeting Hall of Hochiminh City’s Press Association - No.14 Alexandre de Rhodes, 1st Dist., Mr. Hoang Minh Chau, Deputy Director of FPT presented FPT Corporation’s sponsorship to “Hochiminh City’s 2008 ICT Press Open Competition” jointly held by Hochiminh City ICT Press Club and the city’s Press Association.

Prizes will be awarded in December, 2008. FPT has sponsorship for all of the official prizes. The contest is also supported by 10 other sponsors.
The ITC Competition was launched on April 19th, 2008. The contest’s Secretariat let on that hundreds of applications have been submitted by journalists, freelancers from newspapers and radios throughout the country, ranging from print, radio to electronic newspaper.
The competition’s theme highlights ICT issues in Hochiminh City as well as throughout Vietnam, covering: special ICT events, achievements, the current situation and short-comings of the ICT sector; searching and honoring special and progressive individuals, agencies, research groups and enterprises with research, innovations and real life applications of ICT that have improved production and management; promotion of ICT application in remote areas, offshore islands and border areas; proposals for effective economic and technical solutions during implementation.
