FPT staffs act simultaneously for community

In recent years, FPT has taken its technological advantages to contribute to the community and spent tens of billions of VND from the budget on social activities. Some typical programs include giving thousands of scholarships, nurturing young talents through FPT Center for Young Talents (FYT) , developing and running www.violympic.vn - the website of Online Mathematics Contest for millions of high school students nationwide, building and sponsoring the largest volunteer website in Vietnam www.vicongdong.vn as well as holding contests and awards such as Chim En Volunteer Awards to honor outstanding volunteer teams and individuals in Vietnam, Mobile Robot Challenge contest to give students an opportunity to access the latest technology etc.

Besides social activities of the Corp, FPT also desires to foster the spirit of mutual love of FPT staffs . In 2010, FPT selected March13 as “For the Community” Day in order that every FPT employees could make contribution to the society with concrete activities. In 2013, FPT Corporation awarded 25 books bookshelves with more than 16,000 books, bring the opportunity to access knowledge to 5,000 poor students; supported hundreds of FPT’s needy staffs and their families as well as gave over VND 1.5 billion to the people severely affected by No.11 storm and hundreds of scholarships to children affected by Agent Orange etc. By the end of 2013, the FPT spent over VND 2 billion on volunteer programs.

On “For the Community” Day 2014, FPT established the fund named "FPT Staffs for Community" and called upon each one to contribute one-day salary in order to support colleges and fellow-citizens actively and timely as well as implement volunteer programs methodically. In 2014, with the message "Give smile - Give happiness", many programs have been launched across the country.

In Hanoi, the representatives of "FPT Staffs for Community" fund and Operation Smile organization signed the cooperation agreement to raise the operation smile fund for approximately 200 children with cleft lips, cleft palates. Blood donation, gifts for patients at National Hospital of Paediatrics and fund-raising booths were also organized.

In HCMC, FPT held blood donation, photo exhibition of Operation Smile organization, gifts for children at Anh Duong special school etc.

In Can Tho, the Corp made ​​ a volunteer journey to Truong Long primary school to give more than 900 books, 19 scholarships and gifts to hundreds of people.

In Da Nang, 70 gifts, each worth VND 300,000 were presented to 35 patients in Recovery, 10 ones in Gastroenterology, 10 ones in Cardiovascular and 15 ones with advanced cancer.

On March 13, FPT staffs donated 411 units of blood to patients. Many gifts were directly given to patients and their relatives by FPT leaders and staffs.
