The survey taken in 2013 has shown significant changes compared to last year and reflected the actual status of the Vietnamese economy, where property companies had been out-listed from the Top 10 to give room for those in the energy industry.
The majority of enlisted companies belong to crucial sectors of the economy, in which FPT is the only company operating in the field of information technology to be named in the Top 50 .
In 2013, FPT continues to focus on the OneFPT strategy and technology as its core business, enhancing existing strength and leading position in the fields of telecommunication, digital content, system integration and software outsourcing. In the mean time, the company will boost these businesses to the right track of the world’s hottest trends namely Mobility , Cloud and Big Data .
In addition to the Go mass strategy that focuses on offering products and services to the mass market, FPT is now investing heavily in R&D to increase the technology proportion in each of its products and services. The company aims to “become the Global Leader in Smart Service”.
In 2013, the 50 Top Performing Companies account for 74% of the entire market’s profit-after-tax and 68% of the market capitalization. However, it is clearly seen that more than 70% of the 50 Top and 90% of the 10 Top companies are equitized state-owned ones.
