FPT supplies data transmission line for Finance Branch

Upon the contract, FPT Telecom will supply optical cable channels with speed reaching 1Gbps for the Ministry of Finance to connect departmental and central bureaus in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . The line guarantees data transmission from the Ministry of Finance’s bureaus to other bodies such as the Customs Department, the Taxation Department, the National Treasury and the Stock Exchange, at high and stable speeds based on optical cable transmission. This direct connection helps to tighten the Ministry of Finance’s information security and management.

The Director of the Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics, Mr. Dang Duc Mai, said: “The media infrastructure is initially for the Ministry’s TABMIS project, which has total capital of $60 million in the form of a Word Bank loan. The contract will provide the groundwork for the Ministry to continue the modernization of Vietnam ’s Customs and Taxation systems down the track.”

FPT Telecom’s Solutions and Data Communication Center will implement the contract. Forty telecommunications experts will be in charge of installation and service configuration, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year.
