After two working days (20th and 21st April 2011), FPT Technology Research Institute of FPT University and Space Robotics Laboratory of University of Tohoku (Japan) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Vietnam’s participation in creation of a camera built-in the RISESAT satellite of Japan.

Professors from universities of Tohoku and Hokkaido met and worked with researchers at the FPT Technology Research Institute , Hanoi National University and Space technology Institute to explore cooperation opportunities for creating and applying the 50-kg-weight satellite (RISESAT) carrying a 5m/pixel camera for observing the Earth. The Japanese universities are ambitious for creating five micro-satellites within four years from 2010 to 2013.

Upon visiting FSpace laboratory, two Japanese professors held of much account for FSpace’s determination in creating the F-1 satellite in spite of lack of researching equipment.
