FPT Telecom – Excellent Contributor to Internet Vietnam Development
In the eve of November 29th 2007, at the National Convention Center of Vietnam, those who made contributions to the internet development of Vietnam met with each other to have a look at recorded achievements in over the past 10 years, since the global internet launching ceremony in November 19th 1997.

In order to mark excellent achievements recorded to the internet development of Vietnam – 1997 -2007 period, 8 entities were granted the merits by Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications, including FPT Telecom Company (FPT Telecom).
On the base of the Vietnam Intellectual Net, allowing users explore free information resources with simple procedures, FPT Telecom (former FPT Internet) was highly appreciated for its success in introducing simplified definitions on World Wide Web, chat, online for a which laid the foundation for the ongoing internet development of Vietnam in consecutive years.
Mr. Trương Đình Anh – FPT Telecom General Director said he was proud of whatever has made. His group was 4 persons and monitor an invisible net connected by more than 10,000 members at that time.
A decade later, Vietnam has about 18 million internet users, accounting for 21% of her population. The technology used to be ‘luxurious’ to high income individuals and/or business entities, it has been widely popular service.
