FPT Telecom has a new CEO

Mr. Truong Dinh Anh has just been appointed Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation – FPT Telecom’s parent company. He will still keep the position of Chairman of FPT Telecom’s Management Board.

Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha graduated from Hanoi National Economic University and got an MBA at University of Haiwaii at Manoa, the U.S.A. So far, she has been working at FPT for 15 years. She has been holding the position of FPT Telecom’s Vice CEO since 2003.

During the working time at FPT Telecom, Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha has contributed a lot to the company, such as together with the Board of Directors building the long-term development strategy for the company, setting up plans for business, investment, and turnover and profit targets for each specific period; supporting the Management Board in business orientation and enterprise management, assuring the company to be operated in accordance with Enterprise Law and legal regulations in fields of telecommunications, Internet…

Business results during the first 6 months of 2009 of FPT Telecom

During the first 6 months of 2009, FPT Telecom achieved a turnover of 877 billion VNDs, equivalent to 52% of the 2009 plan (1700 billion VNDs), showing a 45% increase in comparison with the same period last year.

Pre-tax earnings were 320 billion VNDs, equivalent to 69% of the 2009 plan (465 billion VNDs), showing a 30.7% increase in comparison with the same period of 2008.

With this growth speed, at the end of July, FPT Telecom’s Management Board had unanimously agreed to increase the planned profit of the company in 2009 to 530 billion VNDs.
