The DC is capable of holding 3500 servers, attaining high standards of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).

This new DC enjoys a special power supply, which assures 99.982% availability (time with electricity) in accordance with the Tier III standard of TIA for DC. This DC is under continuous operation 24 hours/day with all necessary equipment and replaceable spare parts in case of problems. The Internet access speed at this DC is the highest, with the international bandwidth connection up to 20 Gbps, and the total domestic bandwidth of 50 Gbps. This volume will double from Quarter III of 2009.

In addition, due to total isolation from the resident areas, a multi-layer security system was designed for the DC to ensure that clients’ information is safely protected; door layers are installed fingerprint checking systems, monitoring cameras, high-standard fire prevention systems using FM2000, with the direction toward standards of information security processes like ISO27001.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FTI, said that this DC had been built to answer various needs of many market segments, from small system hosting customers with simple applications to big customers such as banks, financial and insurance organizations, international customers, digital content service providers (online games, electronic newspapers…).

Besides hosting services, FTI also provides the service of leasing space for host computers and hardwares. Customers can hire a certain area which is clearly marked and enjoys the total infrastructure of the DC, whereas they can self-equip depending on their practical needs to operate their systems.

“With this DC, apart from the investment in the infrastructure and strict process systems in system operation and control, FTI is also well prepared in terms of personnel. Our team of engineers with international certificates in security (the company currently has 7 engineers with CCIE certificates issued by Cisco) and lots of experience in DC operation is the core factor that makes the service quality of a leading service provider,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa.

So far FTI has had 4 DCs (2 in Hanoi and 2 in Ho Chi Minh City), which are interconnected through a high-speed transmission line system, ensuring the strictest requirements in terms of data backup, data recovery and risk prevention.
