FPT Telecom shareholders receive 30% cash dividend for 2014

The dividend yield was approved at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of FPT Telecom Shareholders.

On May 20, FPT Telecom's AGM took place with the participation of 25 shareholders, representing more than 122 million shares, accounting for 98.5% of existing shares.

The profit distribution plan for 2014 was one of the important issues approved at the AGM. Accordingly, shareholders would receive a cash dividend yield of 30%, equivalent to 3,000 VND/share. The dividend payment is expected to carry out in June.

FPT Telecom shareholders also listened to the reports of the Management Board and Supervisory Board; 2015 Plan and appointment of BOD member.

FPT Telecom’s AGM took place quickly with the participation of 25 delegates, accounting for 98.5% of existing shares.

In 2014, the business targets are fairly well maintained. In terms of business activities, FPT Telecom developed hundreds of thousands of new Internet and TV subscribers, reaching 4 new provinces, covering 59 provinces and cities. For investment, FPT Telecom boosted investment in telecommunications infrastructure with a total investment of VND 1,100 billion; carried out optical fiber campaign in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; as well as axis line extension and core and access network investment in provinces.

With such efforts, last year's revenue of FPT Telecom reached VND 4,825 billion, an increase of 12.2%. Profit before tax and profit after tax were VND 930 billion and VND 763 billion respectively. Earnings per share reached VND 5,306 dong/share.

In 2015, FPT Telecom aims at revenue growth of 22.8% and profit before tax of 1.3%. This is the key year to boost investment as well as continuously implement projects such as optical fiber campaign, TV axes extension, ... besides SWAP, PayTV, SMAC, start-up etc.

Within 3 years from 2015 to 2017, FPT Telecom will focus on implementing “all services over a single connection", with four important issues including of infrastructure ownership, global extension, pay-TV and digital content. By 2020, FPT Telecom will become Global Telecommunications Corporation.
