FPT Telecom simultaneously opens five new branches
From 12 to 17 December 2009, FPT Telecom simultaneously opened five new branches in An Giang, Da Lat (Lam Dong), Nam Dinh, Quang Ninh, and Thanh Hoa. Accordingly by 2009, FPT Telecom has extended its coverage to 22 provinces and cities nationwide.

Network infrastructure in new branches was designed and invested with New Generation of Network (NGN) technology of 10 Gigabit/second and DSLAM switches using ADSL 2+ with downloading speed of 20 Mbps, which is ten times as fast as normal ADSL.
During the last twelve months, FPT Telecom has opened 15 new branches from the North to the South. This is the determination of the company to better serve its customers. FPT Telecom has invested VND 100 billions in coverage expansion in 2009, offering 600 jobs in provinces and cities it presents.
In 2010, the company shall develop infrastructure in 18 to 20 new provinces, increasing the total number of provinces and cities of business to 40-42.
“These extensions have brought challenges to the management of investment and infrastructure in national scale and of branches in separate locations and the management of ten thousands of employees and partners. FPT Telecom shall standardize management packages such as finance, sales, technology, customer service, quality and procedure to give customers the best offerings” said Pham Thanh Duc, Vice General Director of FPT Telecom.
Before opening these new branches, FPT Telecom has developed infrastructure in following provinces and cities:
- the South: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Can Tho, Kien Giang
- the Central region: Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Nghe An, Buon Me Thuot (Dak Lak), Binh Thuan, and Thua Thien Hue.
- the North: Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang.
On the opening occasion, the five branches offer a number of promotional programs. In the North, the program lasts from 25 November to 31 December 2009. They will be implemented from 1 to 31 December 2009.
