FPT Telecom to upgrade the bandwidth of FTTH Internet services
Hanoi , 30th March 2010 – Commencing from early April 2010, FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) shall enlarge the bandwidth of the FTTH (Fiber- to- the- Home) service package for corporate customers across the nation from 30 Mbps (the FiberBronze) to 65 Mbps (the FiberDiamond). To date, FPT Telecom has become the provider of the fastest FTTH services in Vietnam.

By the bandwidth upgrade from 30 Mbps to 65 Mbps and the international committed speed from 640 Kbps to 1,5 Mbps, customers’ demands on exclusive Internet-based applications such as dedicated Hosting Server, VPN, Data transmission, Game Online, IPTV, VoD (Video-on-Demand), Video Conference, and IP Camera are fully met, allowing users to save time and reduce cost. Besides, the company shall provide free bandwidth upgrade for new and current customers.

About FTTH services provided by FPT Telecom:
FTTH (Fiber to the Home) is the state-of-the-art Internet access service with the optical fiber transmission directly connected to the customer’s site. Thereby, the transmitting quality is stable with little signal degradation caused by electromagnetic interferences, the weather nuisance or the cable length. With FTTH technology, FPT Telecom is able to support the downloading speed of up to 10 Gb/s, which is 200 times faster than the current ADSL 2+ (20 Mb/s).
Recently, FPT Telecom has tailored three FTTH packages for enterprises and institutions including FiberBronze, FiberSilver, and FiberGold. The maximum two-way accessing speeds are 30Mbps, 35Mbps, and 45Mbps respectively and the international Internet accessing speed is committed up to 512 Kbps at minimum. The speed dedicated for the FiberGold is 1.024Kbps.
Since March 2009, FPT Telecom has provided two new packages namely FiberPlatin and FiberDiamond with exclusive accessing speed of up to 32Mbps and 40Mbps respectively and the minimum speed promised at 1.024 Kbps.
In addition, FPT Telecom offers optional IP service with suitable price along with the packages of FiberBronze, FiberSilver, FiberGold, FiberPlatin, and FiberDiamond.
