FPT: The first enterprise in Vietnam to extend the license agreement with Microsoft
On January 7, 2010, the agreement on extension of Microsoft software license was signed between FPT Corporation and Microsoft Corporation.

The extension follows the initial agreement between the corporations in October, 2006.
According to the extension agreement, FPT shall upgrade its information infrastructure with latest Microsoft-based server software versions including Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
Additionally, FPT is one of the first enterprises in Vietnam to use Microsoft Office 2010, which is expected to be launched in 2010.
During the visit to FPT in December 2009, Orlando Ayala, Vice Chairman of Microsoft committed to accompany FPT in searching for new opportunities, especially for implementation of “Cloud- Computing” strategy to create a solid foundation for the integration and development of Vietnam’s ICT industry in general and software technology in particular.
