FPT – the major software exporter to Japan

FPT has become a sponsor of the event at the Copper level.

In the morning of October 23, Japan ICT Week 2013 was launched in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hanoi. Mr.Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Information and Communications Department of the Ministry of Information and Communications, said that Vietnam’s software export sector reached revenues of over USD1.2 billion in 2012. "Japan is the largest software market of Vietnamese companies, of which FPT is considered the leading software outsourcing firm here", he claimed.

Japan ICT Week is an annual professional activity only for IT businesses in Japan and Vietnam since 2007.

Japan is the world's fourth largest software market, spending over 130 billion USD in the field annually and requiring foreign providers. "The growth opportunities offered by the Japanese software market are unlimited or in hand. Considering software outsourcing contracts as fish, we are seeing a big school of fish. However, whether Vietnamese enterprises have knitted a fishing net strong enough to catch this opportunity or not", VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said at early ICT meeting.

"The Japanese are now looking for new partners besides China. We are facing a historic opportunity to bring IT cooperation between the two countries to a new height", Vice Chairman and General Secretary of VINASA Pham Tan Cong confirmed.
