FPT to accelerate revenue from overseas

The post-Tet meeting with the media on February 19 was attended by FPT CEO Bui Quang Ngoc, Chief Technology Officer Nguyen Lam Phuong, FPT IS chairman Do Cao Bao and FPT Software Chairman Hoang Nam Tien.
Mr. Ngoc announced the business results in 2013, abroad results, outstanding performances, plans and directions in 2014 with focus of "globalization" strategy.
In 2013, FPT earned VND2,607 billion (USD130 million) in overseas revenue, rising 30%. FPT continued to expand its operation area, bringing the total number of countries the Corp has been present to 17. Five out of seven subsidiaries gained revenues and new positions abroad.

The company has taken prudent preparations for sailing to the outer sea, with the crucial factors including workforce, technological capability, partners & clients, infrastructure and offices in line with international standards.
According to FPT CEO, the encouraging results last year amid general difficulties were achieved by reasonable orientations and efforts of the whole group. Revenue rose 13%, while its pre-tax profit increased by 5%, after-tax profit increased by 4% and EPS up 3%. Technology and Telecommunication accounted for the most proportion in before-tax profit pie with 75%.
In 2014, the Group will make vigorous investment steps abroad with expected growth of 32 %. It also plans to achieve 90% growth in revenue from technology services, specialized solutions and general information services, promoting research and development activities, infrastructure investment and human resources for long -term development as well as pursuing merger and acquisition activity.
In this year, the digital content strategy will also have many drastic positive changes. In addition to maintaining and developing electronic media strongly, the Corp will change the strategy to revive the game segment and promote e-commerce development by cooperating with Japanese clients.
