FPT to achieve profit of VND 1,426 billion in 7 months

FPT Group just announced its business result for July 2013. The Group’s revenue totaled VND 14,712 billion, an increase of 11 percent compared to the same period of last year, achieving 109 percent of 7 months accumulation plan . Profit before tax amounted to VND 1,426 billion, achieving 102 percent of 7 months plan, a 6 percent of increase compared to the same period of 2012.

FPT IS deployed ERP for Dien Quang joint stock company in July.

Profit after tax reached VND 1.180 billion, profit after tax for the parent company's shareholders was VND 882 billion, increasing 7 percent and 6 percent respectively compared to the same period of 2012, fulfilling 7 months plan, corresponding to 53 percent and 52 percent of the 2013 plan.

Two sectors contributing most to the profit of FPT Group are technology and telecommunications, which account for 76 percent of the Group’s profit. Particularly, revenue and profit growth rate of technology sector are 21 percent and 29 percent respectively while those of telecommunications sector are 12 percent and 9 percent.

FPT Software has recently signed a contract to deploy cloud computing services with a partner in US worth more than $ 1 million. It is not only FPT Software’s first contract on cloud computing services, in which FPT participates in all phases from consulting, design to deployment, but also the cloud computing project with the biggest return ever.

FPT has studied to deploy cloud computing services since 2012 and they are expected to have important contributions and a strong growth potential.
