FPT to attend two panel discussion sessions at ICT Summit 2013

Upon attending the Vietnam ICT Summit this year, FPT’s delegates would focus on two topics including “Enhancing competitiveness of enterprises and higher education reforms.

These discussion sessions is taking place on June 20 at Melia Hotel, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi.

FPT Chairman and CEO Truong Gia Binh will attend the ICT Summit 2013 in the role of the Chairman of Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) – the summit organizer. Hoang Nam Tien, Chairman of FPT Software and Mai Cong Nguyen, General Director of FPT IS ERP and other senior leaders of FPT Corporation will also attend as speakers at the event.

Focusing on the theme “ICT – the new development paradigm to enhance national competitiveness”, the Vietnam ICT Summit 2013 will discuss four main topics that are the pillars to form the competitive edge of a nation in according to the assessment categories by the World Economic Forum including: National Information Infrastructure- Issues and solutions; ICT- Institutional reforms, improving macroeconomic competitiveness; ICT- enhancing competitiveness of enterprises; and ICT-higher education reforms.

ICT Summit 2013 expects the attendance of about 600-700 delegates mainly from entrepreneurs, state-owned corporations, banks and private sector and a number from Japan, Korea and Malaysia.

The Summit this year also will be attended by the former Japanese Prime Minister, Mr. Yukio Hatoyama. His participation would be significant for this year marks forty year anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relation, encouraging Japanese enterprises to turn their cooperation destination from China to Vietnam.

Focusing to address major and specific issues of the ICT industry of Vietnam, the Vietnam ICT Summit 2012 attracted more than 500 delegates representing ministries and industries, enterprises and leadning experts in Vietnam.
