FPT to be honoured Top 10 Vietnam Gold Star 2011

The selection criteria include: International economic integration basing on the capability to apply science and technology, actively integrate into the world economy through exporting and foreign investment activities; Application of knowledge economy such as investment in high quality human resources and application of information technology in production and management; Social responsibilities such as attention to the benefit of employees and social environment.

Preferred indices are Return On Equity (ROE), total revenue, total number of employees, taxes and duties paid, total assets and social responsibility.

Vietnam Gold Star Award has been annually co-hosted by Vietnam Youth Union and Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee since 2003 to honour outstanding Vietnamese brands only.

200 brands selected out of nearly 350 applicants were nominated for the Vietnam Gold Star Award. They have gained totally 703,000 billion dongs in revenue, paying 46,000 billion dongs for the state budget with profit-after-tax of more than 56,000 billion dongs. These enterprises have created jobs for more than 380,000 people.

Especially, ten enterprises who have made significant to the social development will also be honoured this year.

The Vietnam Gold Star awards ceremony will be held on October 15 by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Central Committee and will be attended by Party’s leaders and representatives of the government and ministries of Vietnam.

Ms. Chu Thanh Ha, Executive Vice President of FPT will represent the corporation at the award ceremony.
