The WEF 2013 focuses on the adaptability of companies to changing contexts of the world’s economy. According to the Forum, the world is now facing a new reality of sudden shocks and prolonged global economic malaise, particularly in major economies experiencing economic austerity. This new context requires prompt responses from organizations in developing resilient strategies and backup plans.

This is also the main theme of the WEF 2013 to promote and facilitate changes in global, regional and industrial scale.

FPT became one among 1,000 foundation members of the WEF in November 2011, which has leveraged FPT’s brand name and also contributed to introduce Vietnam to the international community.

Participating the WEF, FPT has the opportunity to approach typical organizations and governments in the world, to expand the market and collide with new business partners. This is a new progressive step of FPT in realizing its globalization strategy.

FPT first appeared in the WEF Davos 2012 with the attendance of Chairman Truong Gia Binh. The WEF’s annual meeting attracts the attendance of about 2,500 delegations from 90 countries, including heads of state or government, scientists, scholars, experts, business leaders and international organizations. The topics to be discussed this year include the European monetary crisis, agriculture, information technology and education.

“The Davos annual meeting has introduced new opportunities for FPT, the most noticeable of which is to build a wide business network. Only in Davos, will new opportunities come and be deployed quickly as almost participants there are the organization’s highest decision makers”, said Mr. Binh.

At the WEF 2012, Mr. Binh had a number of meetings with large companies in the world such as Wipro , Intel, SK Planet…
