FPT University announces the second short-list exam in August 2009

FPT University’s short-list exam will be organized in three places: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The exam consists of: multiple choice tests in mathematics and logical thought (in Vietnamese) for 120 minutes; essay-writing (in Vietnamese) for 60 minutes. Candidates are students having graduated from the high school graduation exam in 2009 and previous years.

Candidates must directly hand in or send through post offices their personal documents in accordance with regulations and forms of FPT University to enrolment consultancy offices in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The deadline for handing in personal documents and registering for taking part in the short-list exam at FPT University is before 17.30, August 06, 2009. Documents sent through post offices will be considered valid if the seals of the post offices are affixed on them before 17.30, July 31, 2009.

This year, besides the “Preferential Credit” Program, FPT University has also applied the financial program for students “Invest with you.” The university will use a 10-billion-VND investment fund to help students pay their tuition fees. According to this program, good and excellent students and those with family difficulties will be lent 50 – 90% of the tuition fees, and this amount of money can be paid gradually after graduation with the maximum installment equal to 4.5% of their incomes.

FPT University ’s short-list exam in April 2009 attracted over 7,000 candidates from 63 cities and provinces nationwide. With the standard test score of 58/105 points, 2,713 have passed this exam.

Among them, 403 candidates have enough score points to participate in the preferential credit program and “Invest with you” program, 136 excellent candidates are eligible to be considered to receive full and half scholarships during 4 years of studying at this university.

Apart from candidates with high scores in the short-list exam, when considering candidates for scholarships, FPT University also gives priority to those who are excellent students, who have special achievements at the national level or achieved 28 score points or higher in the university entrance exam organized by Ministry of Education and Training in July 2009.
