FPT University Appointments Okayed
The Minister Education and Training, in Decisions 5213/QD-BGDDT and 5214/QD-BGDDT, approved an FPT proposal on September 20 in which Associate Professor and Doctor Truong Gia Binh will be chairman of the FPT University Management Board for the 2006-2011 term, and Doctor Le Truong Tung will be a member of the Management Board and Headmaster for the same term.

FPT was officially licensed to establish FPT University on September 7, six months after receiving the green light from the government. It is the first private information technology university in Vietnam .
The vision of the university is to be a creative and modern training environment equipping students with the maturity and capacity to overcome challenges and contribute to national prosperity and the acceleration of the knowledge economy.
For FPT, the university will help to provide high quality personnel, which is considered a key factor in ensuring its future development. The university will also be a pioneer in the corporation’s new Hoa Lac High-Tech Zone, which is part of FPT City .
