FPT University enrollments to double 2006 figure
In Hanoi on 13 March 2007, the Dean of FPT University, Mr. Le Truong Tung, announced the enrollment plan for its second course (2007-2011). The level set is 750 students in the Software Technology Faculty, double that in 2006. With this, FPT has the highest increase in enrollments of all universities in Vietnam.

Grade 12 students with an average Mathematics mark of 7.0 in Grades 10 and 11 and the first semester of Grade 12 can enroll in the FPT examination. Upon entering FPT University , candidates must have then passed the high school finals and obtained the so-called “minimum score” in the entrance exam, as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
On April 29 candidates will attend a short-list exam of 120 minutes, in Mathematical and Logical Thought (in Vietnamese language) and a write an essay within 60 minutes. The estimated entrance time for students with a higher-than-stipulated “minimum score” is June 2007, and August 2007 for candidates from the 2007 entrance examinations.
FPT University awards 50 full scholarships worth a total of $560,000 to excellent students, members of the national team, or those winning first or second prizes in national competitions for brilliant students; candidates with a high score in the FPT University examination, and those whose score in the national entrance examination was over 27.
Apart from Hanoi , FPT University has other places for consultancy and enrollment, at Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang , creating favorable conditions for all candidates.
The demand for Information Technology staff has become so urgent that many software companies’ directors suggest that “staff is of no less importance than trade”.
