FPT University enrolls 4th class in August 2008

After the 3rd enrolment in April 2008 which attracted over 10 thousand applicants, FPT University is organizing the second enrolment term of 2008 on August 3rd to allow more students the opportunity to enroll at the University. Eligible applicants are high school graduates or to-be-high school graduates in 2008. Starting September 2008, FPT University will also start trainings at its new facility at Quang Trung Software Park in Hochiminh City.

To become a student at FPT University, students will need to score at least equal to the national average on the university entrance examination in July 2008 and also need to pass the University's preliminaries which include a 120-minute multiple-choice Mathematics and Logical thinking test (in Vietnamese) and a 60-minute essay writing test (in Vietnamese).

First, second or third place winners of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics Biology or Computing National Competitions are eligible for direct enrollment and full scholarships. For 2008, runner-ups for the Mathematics National are also eligible for both direct enrolment and full scholarships.

The University expects to grant from 30 to 50 scholarships (full/in part) to high-scorers in the admission examination or to students with National achievements.

Exceptional students with family financial difficulties will also receive full meal and board support during their study at the University. The University will also continue with its preferred credit loans for students, payment will be deducted from students' post-graduate salary.

FPT University 's students can start working during their junior year; exceptional students will not be required to return to school and will receive on-job training to complete their diploma. Students will also have the opportunity to work at one of FPT Corporation's branches over the world such as Japan, France, or Singapore.

High school graduates who have passed FPT University's admission examination but are not eligible for full enrollment may enroll in the University's foundation courses (started in 2008). Foundation course students may transfer to university level courses once they fulfill the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training per the 2009 College entrance examination.
