FPT University holds 2008 first semester review

July 3rd, 2008 FPT University held the review ceremony for the 2008 first semester and awarded prizes to students and organizations with outstanding study results and achievements in community activities. This is also the first time FPT University changed its organization mode to include parents.

Hướng Việt Dũng receives “Golden Toad”

Nearly 200 students and teachers were present. Hướng Việt Dũng – class of SE0305 – received the “Golden Toad” award – for the best student in the University, bringing home a Toshiba sponsored laptop worth 1000 USD.

26 other students received prizes worth 1 million VND each for their outstanding study results. Individuals and organizations with achievements in community activities were also recognized.

FPT University’s 2008 first semester starts from January 7^th to May 3^rd 2008 for class 1 and 2, and from December 17^th 2007 to March 15^th 2008 for class 3. After this semester, class 1 students have had basic knowledge of such basics as C++, Databases and solutions, Networking and systems …, as well as completed basic Japanese. Class 2 and 3 completed basics such as foreign language, mathematics and philosophy.

The first semester of 2008 saw many different student body activities. Many clubs were born such as the hip-hop club, hyperlink club, chess club… Some have had frequent meetings, attracting the participation of many students in the University’s activities and in community volunteer activities.
