FPT University signed MoU on international cooperation with Hochschule Furtwangen University
November 20th 2007, FPT University held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on International Cooperation with German Hochschule Furtwangen University. The two universities will exchange lecturers, students, together enter projects, workshops and cultural exchanges. This is an important step in expanding international cooperation relation, bringing in more opportunities of study and practice for students in the international environment.

The cooperation program lasts 5 years, herewith FPT University students will receive school tuitions and allowances for their studies in Germany from six to one year and it is vice versa for Furtwangen University students learning at FPT University, Vietnam. It is about 5 students will be under the exchange program every year.
Professor Friedbert Kaspar – Dean of Computer Science Department, representing Furtwangen University said that he was pleased at the potential cooperation. He also gave lectures to FPT University students and he highly appreciated their capabilities through English lectures and their quick response. To date, Furtwangen University has cooperation with more than 160 universities in all over the world mainly in the United States, Britain, India, China and European nations. About 40% students join the students exchange programs lasting for 1 – 2 terms every year. This is the first time Furtwangen University enters into cooperation agreement with a Vietnam University.
Professor Friedbert Kaspar continued to express his belief at the further cooperation relations with FPT University in particular and FPT Corporation in general in the future. A part from student exchanges, professors of Furtwangen University will come to Vietnam to deliver lectures at FPT University. Furtwangen University will spend time for procedures so that Furtwangen students will come to learn and work at FPT Software as well as FPT University students come to learn and work at enterprises in Germany.
Furtwangen University is located in Banden Clockmaker state, the southwestern of the Germany. It is one of 5 top universities in information technology training of Germany. To date, Furtwangen University has more than 4,000 students among which 13% is international students from 70 nations in all over the world. The University has 7 majors in which Computer Science, Software Skills, Information technology Applications are main strengths.
