FPT University starts the seventh academic course

The opening ceremony was attended by A. Prof. Dr. Truong Gia Binh – FPT Chairman and board of management, lecturers, parents and students of FPT University.

The conference hall of Cau Giay Gymnasium was filled by nearly 800 freshmen, who looked so eager in the orange uniform, and their parents.

A. Prof. Dr. Truong Gia Binh opened the ceremony with a simply and lively talk demonstrated by his own experiences, especially those about his getting mature in information technology.

The new school year officially started when Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh- Deputy Director of FPT University beat the drum resoundingly. Dr. Thanh also shared his vision, orientation and development strategy of FPT University with a look back on the achievement in the past and a belief in the new generation of students.

On behalf of parents, Mr. Vu Thanh Liem made a sincere speech, expressing confidence in future success of his children. He shared that he had been impressed by the way the University receives new students and by its modern facilities.

Expressing strong determination with this life-turning choice, student Nguyen Huu Thanh said: “You and I have chosen FPT University as a start to our future destination. We are exactly on the same board now and I hope that we will go till the end of the way with the resilience of youth despite of difficulties we may face with. I have studied at Hanoi Medical University for three years but now I am here in pursuit of IT passion. I scored high at the entrance exam to this university and received a full credit loan to realize my dream here".

At the opening ceremony, FPT University also granted full scholarship and credit loans for excellent students. Five most outstanding freshmen were also honoured for their excellent exam results.

After this ceremony, the freshmen will go through the Orientation week and one month of physical training in Xuan Hoa, Hanoi.
