FPT University supports its students to buy laptops
FPT University has just announced its program of assisting students to buy laptops with a proposed budget of 800,000 USD. Each student could receive up to 400 USD to buy a laptop.

Starting in October 2008, this program will be implemented nationwide. Students are required to use laptop for learning at class, practices in labs and access to the internet.
To provide students with good laptops at preferential prices, a memo on special sale of laptops for students has been signed by FPT University and HP Company Vietnam. HP Vietnam will cooperate with FPT Retail to realize the Program “Special Sale of HP Laptops for FPT Students”.
As part of this agreement, HP Vietnam will provide laptop with price ranging from 500 USD to 1500 USD with discounts of 60 – 100 USD. HP Vietnam will also take part in donation programs at FPT University, specifically awarding one laptop worth 1,000 USD to the best student in every semester of FPT University.
Following the success of this agreement, HP Vietnam and FPT University are considering the possibility for expansion of the cooperation, jointly opening IT R&D centers, or even open HP maintenance center in FPT University’s premises.
