FPT University to admit 1,700 students in 2013
In the admission season this year, FPT University plans to open three new training majors namely information security, graphic design and hospitality management. Each major expects about 200 enrollments.

In total, FPT University expects 1,700 students registering for all the study fields available
Especially, the information security which focuses on information safety for the ICT industry is the first academic curriculum to be offered in Vietnam.
In a recent survey by FPT University conducted among more than 30,000 high school graduates in Northern area, the percentage of those interested in information technology in 2013 has increased to 7% from 6% in 2012.
The preliminary entrance exam shall be organized on May 5 in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Applicants should be high school graduates or will graduate in 2013. Those registering for Information Technology field will undergo a mathematical test, logic test, and essay composition; those for Economic field will be tested with logical thinking, emotion quotient, social knowledge and essay composition.
FPT University was established on September 8, 2006, receiving 500 enrollments for the first school year. In 2011, the university opened five new training fields including: information system, electronics and communications, computer engineering and IT-based accounting. At the moment, the university is offering curriculums for Software Engineering, IT-based business administration and IT-based finance-banking.
