FPT University to cooperate with Korea’s Soongsil University

On July 24, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between FPT University (FU) and Soongsil University took place at FU’s base located in Hoa Lac, Hanoi.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed such important issues as student exchange, establishment of FPT-Soongsil Information Technology Training Center , MSC Affiliate Program and short-term training courses for Korean students.

The terms in the cooperation agreement between FPT University and Soongsil University would help bring students in both universities more learning opportunities.

FPT-Soongsil Information Technology Training Center would implement information technology training projects funded by ODA from Korean government in the North of Vietnam.

In terms of joint training, FPT University and Soongsil University desired to launch MSC Affiliate Programs with degrees by both sides. Joint training project was expected to be developed by FPT - Soongsil Center after its foundation.

In addition, the two sides also discussed to launch and carry out short-term training courses for Korean students at FPT University, expected to be kicked off in late 2013 or early 2014.

Soongsil University, founded in 1897, is the oldest university in Korea. It is listed in the top 200 universities in Asia with diverse majors. During its 100 years of operation, Soongsil University seriously considers practice in training programs and students as key of the development.
