FPT University to launch programming contest for high school students
Alice Game Jame 2013 will belaunched on April 19, to create a good playground for high school studentsthroughout the country to show their ability in using Alice applications to create a program in an easy and effective manner.

According to Alice Game Jame’sregulation, contestants will be grouped into a group of three to furnish thesoftware within eight hours. The groups will compete using the Aliceprogramming language to make a 3D cartoon or game, which content should relateclosely to school, teenage lifestyle or Vietnamese traditions and festivals.
The contesting groups will create acartoon or a game using Alice software from 7:00 to 17:00 April 7 as requiredby the Organizer. During the competition, the groups can insert preparedmodels, pictures, or clips to their products and their supervisors can onlyprovide consultation. Each competingcartoon will last no longer than ten minutes.
The competing products will be votedonline on http://alice.fpt.edu.vn/index.php in forty days from 8th April to 15th May, which countsfor 20% of the final score of the competing products.
Winning product will be rewarded 100million dongs. To date, there have been forty teams registering for the AliceGame Jame 2013.
As this is a teaming and time-challenging contest, students will be able to explore their ability in teamwork and time management. By addressingthe requirements of the judge panel in a certain period of time, each groupshould collaborate and assign tasks effectively and overcome the time pressureto meet the deadline of the competition.
After the launching ceremony,students and lecturers of FPT University will provide basic training on Alicesoftware in attending high schools.
Students can also study the usage ofAlice software on: www.alice.fpt.edu.vn or contact FPT Universityfor direct assistance. In case the school has more than three groups, theOrganizer will provide onsite training.
In addition to creating aninteresting and useful academic playground for students, FPT University alsoaims to share their experience in using Alice software to high school students.The software is considered an effective tool to facilitate their access toobject-oriented programming.
