FPT University will start to be built in Hoa Lac in July

Mr. Le Dinh Loc said that in the short term, the water drainage infrastructure would be built first, then design consultants and contractors would be chosen. As anticipated, at the end of October 2009, the first lecture block will be constructed to serve about 1000 students. By the end of 2010, the first basic constructions (campus, dormitory, service zone) will be completed to serve students.

Period 01 will be deployed from 2009 to 2011 with over 94,000m² of built floors and total investment of 814 billion VNDs to serve 3000 students. Period 2 will be from 2012 to 2015 with over 213,000 m² of built floors and total investment of 1,882 billion VNDs, enough to answer the needs of 7000 students.

Once Period 02 is over, 7 construction zones will be finished, including: Lecture halls and the researching zone; Students’ dormitory; Accommodations for specialists and lecturers; The Administrative and Headquarter zone; The sports zone; Laboratories and other constructions; Park.

As planned, 30-ha FPT University is located in the South of the Education and Training Zone, answering the needs of 10,000 students in 2020. FPT Univeristy’s studying zone will be in the East and North of the planned area; the Sports zone will be in the North-West, bordering Highway 21 in the West; and the Dormitory. Besides, there is also a system of trees and water surfaces.
