On September 12, FPT and MMI signed a contract to deploy Distribution Management System (DMS) for the holding company and its 7 branches with more than 200 salesmen across provinces/cities in Myanmar.

The contract will be implemented by FSU3 under FPT Software within 6 months. This is the first project of FPT Software in Myanmar and the first service project of FPT here.

MMI, the largest enterprise in Myanmar in the field of FMCG, specializes in manufacturing and distributing consumer goods such as cake, candy, drinks etc.

In 2013, DMS was upgraded to eMobiz. Currently, eMobiz system has been deployed for over 10,000 salespersons, 1,100 distributors nationwide and 10 leading consumer goods companies in 9 Southeast Asian countries. Businesses using the service include Unilever, PepsiCo Suntory, Ajinomoto, Kinh Do, Trung Nguyen, DHG and BP Castrol.

On July 24, DMS-eMobiz of FPT Software was the only out of 70 software products and IT services to get only 5-star ranking at Sao Khue Award 2014

Myanmar is a potential market for products and services of Vietnam. According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam’s export to Myanmar was worth USD 117.8 million in 2012, nearly USD 228 million in 2013 and USD 103.2 million after first 4 months of 2014, up 46.29% over the same period of the prior year. That Vietnamese enterprises and multinational companies are interested in FMCG, appliances, dairy products, pharmaceutical products, electrical products etc will become an opportunity for FPT Software and other units to have access to the market.
